The rehearsal glow up

SEVENTEEN made history in November 2025 by becoming the first K-pop group to film an official Tiny Desk performance in the United States, and their behind-the-scenes moments were just as iconic as their live performances! As they stepped into the Washington office of NPR, their light stick joined the legendary bookshelf where artists like Sabrina Carpenter have left their mark.  Even during rehearsal, the members showed why they have become the experienced K-pop stars we know and love. Only 5 members (Joshua, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino) appeared, but that was enough to fill the room! The quintet ran through their nine-song medley with a five-piece band, all while cracking jokes and keeping the vibes high.

SEVENTEEN: Tiny Desk Concert

When the cameras started rolling

On November 24, 2025, a small but fired-up crowd of NPR employees and guests filled the office with tour jerseys and handmade signs. Producer Suraya Mohamed gave a short intro and jokingly gave the audience permission to bark if the excitement took over. Even before the members showed up, the chanting was loud enough to surprise them. The group opened their set with Super, immediately turning the office into a mini-concert. The SEVENTEEN members gushed about how it felt to perform in a space that was literally someone’s workplace. In addition, they admitted they were nervous at the start, but once the harmonies and high notes started flowing, the nerves vanished.

The perfect encore

SEVENTEEN concerts always end with crowd participation, and their Tiny Desk performance was no exception to that rule! Fans requested songs like My I and Q&A, although HBD won the spot in the final cut. Before the final encore, everyone warmed up by hopping in place three times, just like the group does on tour. When the song Nice kicked in, the room was ready to jump, even if the carpet tried to silence the hype. The member performed with joy, signed photocards, and shouted out their enlisted group members, Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Hoshi, and Woozi. Even in the smallest venue, they turned thirty minutes into pure magic.
