King Charles III has had a tight agenda since the state banquet with the U.S. President, Donald Trump. The Monarch of the United Kingdom made an iconic closure of the week by visiting the world’s oldest person.
Ethel Caterham, 116, lives in a care home in Lightwater, Surrey, and is the last surviving subject of Edward VII. Caterham became the oldest living person in April following the death of the Brazilian nun, Inah Combarro, at the age of 116.

Ethel was born on 21 August 1909, and her latest birthday was a complete celebration. On her 115th birthday, she received a letter from King Charles congratulating her on a “truly remarkable milestone”. Now, the King has personally visited her
The special visit gave memorable moments, as Ethel told the King: “All the girls were in love with you and wanted to marry you,” and even she remembered the late Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation: “I remember when your mother crowned you in Caernarfon Castle.”
