Los Angeles police are investigating a case involving singer D4vd and a Tesla car in his name. The car had been impounded at a Hollywood tow yard on Monday, July 8, 2025, following reports it had been abandoned for over a month in the Hollywood Hills. Workers at Hollywood Tow alerted authorities after noticing a strong odor coming from the vehicle, ultimately leading officers to a corpse sealed in a bag. Identification is taking place now, but it will be delayed due to the advanced decomposition of the body.

The Tesla is registered to 20-year-old David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, and it is one of several vehicles owned by the musician. According to media outlets, many different people are using the vehicles at any given time. This car, specifically, was eventually impounded after a person reported that it had been abandoned. The medical examiner’s office revealed that the victim inside the car is a female who was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal chain bracelet, and stud earrings. Also, the office unveiled that the person appears to have been deceased “for an extended period of time” before being found in D4vd’s vehicle.
D4vd is currently performing at his show in Minneapolis without addressing the situation.

Meanwhile, police also confirmed a separate body was found in a burned car at a South LA tow yard on the same day, though the two cases are not believed to be connected.
