The Upside Down is opening one last time! Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 will officially premiere on November 26, 2025, Netflix revealed at Tudum 2025. But here’s the twist: the eight-episode final season will drop in three volumes, with the second part arriving at Christmas, and the finale landing on New Year’s Eve. One last holiday trip to Hawkins, Stranger Things enthusiasts?

The new season picks up more than a year after the explosive Season 4 finale, with a time jump to fall 1987. Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) is still on the loose, and Hawkins is still reeling from the gate to the Upside Down being ripped wide open. Production wrapped back in December, and the cast lineup includes all fan faves like Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, and David Harbour, as well as new faces like Linda Hamilton and Nell Fisher.

Netflix is keeping most plot details under wraps, but we do have the episode titles — including the mysterious “The Vanishing of _____.” Yes, they’re keeping that blank just to mess with us! Also on the list: “The Crawl,” “Shock Jock,” “Escape From Camazotz,” and “The Rightside Up,” which might just hint at a finale that flips everything.

Even though Netflix’s split-season strategy gets side-eyes from some fans, the streamer’s clearly aiming to build suspense (and maybe stretch those subscriptions). But with the core cast back and the stakes higher than ever, the final trip to Hawkins might be well worth the wait. Let’s just hope we survive Vecna one last time!
