Meghan Markle has been one of the most controversial celebrities in the United States and the United Kingdom because of her mediatic departure from the Royal Family. The actress hasn’t been able to start over and ultimately, she has been avoided in every public engagement.
The G9 Ventures Summer Summit hosted by Army Griffin was a completely nightmare for the Duchess of Sussex’s popularity. It is reported that almost all the celebrities did their best to dodge being caught in photographs with Meghan Markle.
NewsNation’s Paula Froelich reported that Meghan Markle couldn’t take any photographs with the event attendees Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon or Diane Sawyer. She believes they are trying to avoid her because she would use them for clout.
“They know that if they are in a picture with [Meghan] it is a tacit approval of her that she can use to promote herself. Meghan can show up at events where they are at, move into their neighborhood…but they are not friends.”
