After completing their basic military training, Jimin, Jungkook and Namjoon, also known as RM, were recently sent to their respective divisions. As a result, the BTS ARMY expressed their fear for the safety of the band members when the Twitter user shared the latest update on social media.
For those who don’t know, COLD training involves honing survival skills in the most extreme winter warfare scenario possible, when all unit members – including artillery – share outdoor sleeping tents and lack heating supplies. They do not march like soldiers; they move more like artillery, except in the required direction. The South Korean military relies on it because of the significant annual snowfall in the country.
The Korean Army’s Special Warfare Command conducts cold weather training to strengthen its ability to conduct special operations in snowy terrain. Carrying thirty kilograms of military equipment, descending at high speed from a helicopter for covert invasion missions, navigating snowy terrain, simulating battles between friendly forces and attackers, and evacuating casualties to safety are some of the exercises that are part of the cold weather training.
