The boy group has not confirmed their appearance
BTS fans, known as ARMY, are once again wondering if the group could attend the Met Gala for the first time. The fashion event is scheduled for May 4, 2026, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s theme is “Costume Art,” and the dress code is “Fashion Is Art.” Despite the date coming near, the eight-member team has not confirmed any plans to attend as a group or as individual members.
A small break in their tour schedule could make it possible
The main reason ARMYs think an appearance is possible is the group’s ARIRANG world tour schedule. BTS is set to perform in El Paso on May 2 and May 3, 2026. After that, the group has a short break before continuing the tour in Mexico City on May 7, May 9, and May 10, 2026. This leaves a window that could technically give them time to travel to New York for one of fashion’s biggest nights.
Their choice remains unclear
Even with that open space in the schedule, a Met Gala appearance would still be difficult. Touring artists often use short breaks to rest instead of adding major public events. A red carpet like the Met Gala also usually requires fittings, planning, and extra travel. The extra time between tour stops brings a possibility for them to attend, but it does not seem very likely. For now, fans are waiting until something official is announced.
