On July 20, 2026, Sony Music Vision announced that Always Lalisa will make its world premiere during the gala program at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival, which will take place from September 10, 2026, through September 20, 2026. The documentary film follows the Thai star as she spends a year focusing on her individual career away from BLACKPINK. It explores the challenges she faced while building her own identity as a performer, actress, and businesswoman before rejoining the girl group. At this time, no theatrical or streaming release date has been announced.
According to the official description, the movie captures an important period in Lisa’s life as she balances the excitement of new opportunities with the pressure of stepping outside BLACKPINK, one of the world’s biggest girl groups. As part of her soloist activities, she performed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony alongside Anitta and Rema, delivered a solo set at Coachella 2025, appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair, and became the first KPop artist to join the Met Gala host committee. In addition, she made her acting debut in HBO’s The White Lotus.
Lisa will continue her journey as a soloist!
