The Black Label has denied rumors that BLACKPINK’s Rosé was appearing as a special guest during Sabrina Carpenter’s Coachella performance in Indio, California. On Friday, April 17, 2026, the agency told The Korea Herald that the “Number One Girl” singer did not have any plans to join Sabrina Carpenter’s set. The statement came after online speculation spread rapidly among fans, with many expecting her as a surprise guest during Sabrina’s second weekend performance. Since both artists have strong global fan bases and have previously met in person and taken pictures, the rumor started circulating until it became too loud.
The speculation began after images and videos circulated online that allegedly showed an artist trailer backstage at the Coachella Main Stage with Rosé’s name on it. Reports from local media added to the excitement by saying Sabrina Carpenter had requested an extension of around 10 minutes for her second weekend set. That detail led many fans to believe that the BLACKPINK member could make an appearance. These rumors gained traction after Rose’s own social media activity. On April 15, she uploaded a video of herself with Lee Hyori’s hit song “10 Minutes,” while Sabrina commented “perfect girl” on the comment section and reposted it on Instagram Stories. Some fans interpreted the interaction as a possible hint connected to Sabrina’s reported set extension. However, the agency’s statement made clear that no official appearance was planned.

“Rosé does not have an official schedule to join Sabrina Carpenter’s stage as a special guest,” the company told The Korean Herald.
Instead, the artist invited to perform alongside the “Espresso” singer was Madonna. Right as Sabrina Carpenter was approaching the end of her set, the 67-year-old singer emerged from the bottom of the stage and sang fragments of “Vogue” with Sabrina. Then, the pair walked holding hands through the runway, singing an unreleased track from Madonna’s upcoming album, “Confessions on a Dancefloor ll.” Madonna then concluded the performance after singing “Like a Prayer” for a dramatic ending.
