Stray Kids made a major mark on Brazilian music history with their Rock in Rio debut on September 11, 2026. The eight-member team became the first KPop act to headline the festival, closing the Palco Mundo after a day that gave the Korean genre a dedicated presence at the event for the first time. Thousands of Brazilian STAYs (that is the name Stray Kids fans have) filled Cidade do Rock to welcome Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. and dance to their hits.

The performance moved through different eras of Stray Kids’ music, opening with “DOMINO” and “BOUNCE BACK” before bringing the crowd to an even higher level with the bombastic tracks “Thunderous,” “MANIAC,” “S-Class” and “LALALALA.” The members also changed their outfits throughout the show, moving from sporty streetwear into outfits featuring Korean-inspired elements. In a surprising twist, the group performed “Chk Chk Boom” with samba-inspired dance moves, delighting local fans.

The Brazilian connection continued when Bang Chan briefly sang Michel Teló’s “Ai Se Eu Te Pego,” prompting an immediate singalong from the fans. The finale featured fireworks, pyrotechnics, and a large-scale light show as the members celebrated with the crowd. Following their historic Rock in Rio appearance, Stray Kids will move forward with their STRAYCITY festival. The boy group will visit Buenos Aires, Argentina in September 14 and 15 at Hipódromo de San Isidro. Then, they will travel to Mexico City, where they will take over the GNP Seguros Stadium on September 26 and 26.
