In a recent official report, Song Hye Kyo‘s agency UAA announced through a new statement the end of their exclusive contract after 14 years together.
On June 26th, UAA shared through the main Korean media outlets a statement announcing they are parting ways with the actress: “We have decided to conclude our journey together while sincerely wishing each other the best in our respective futures.”
The agency reflects on the actress’s growth under it and their long partnership. “During her time with UAA, Song Hye Kyo received love not only in South Korea but also from audiences around the world. The years we shared together will remain cherished memories.”
They concluded by asking fans to continue showing support for the actress’s career in this new phase. Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo expressed her gratitude to the company in a new message through her social networks:
“I was truly happy and grateful for the time I spent with UAA.”
“Every moment we shared will always remain a precious memory in my heart. I sincerely wish everyone at UAA all the best.”

JTBC Entertainment News reported that Hyekyo will launch her own agency, with longtime staff members, including her stylist, expected to support her as she begins this new chapter independently.

The actress joined the agency in 2012 when she was already one of the biggest stars of the Korean wave. During her trajectory under this company, she starred in several hit projects, including ‘Descendants of the Sun’ and ‘The Glory’.
