After 16 years of their last movie, ‘Shrek 5‘ returns with an exciting trailer of their new family adventure, which promises more fun and chaos alongside returning and fresh faces.
Last year, DreamWorks surprised fans by announcing the release of a new movie of the franchise with a teaser video confirming the return of the same voices but keeping the details of its plot hidden until now.
On June 16th, the production company shared the first trailer exposing the details of their new adventure that will include Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and the new cast members, the couple’s triplets Felicia, Farkle, and Fergus, who are now teenagers.
In the trailer, the family embarks on a new trip to ‘Further further away,’ which leads them to much chaos, and they end up in jail where Shrek’s family is locked up with Donkey, who annoyingly sings ‘Baby Come Back’ by Player and ‘Roxanne’ by The Police.
The trailer also announces the film’s release date as June 30, 2027, marking the first installment in the franchise since the release of ‘Shrek Forever After’ in 2010.
