BTS’ is about to make their grand comeback in 2026. After a several-year hiatus due to the enlistment of all members in the South Korean military, they are ready to showcase why they are the kings of the Kpop scene. However, RM has unveiled the hard moments the band has gone through.
On December 6, RM made a heartfelt Weverse Live broadcast to talk about his state of mind ahead of BTS’s full reunion next year. The idol reflected on the situations that led him to push their 2025 schedule to a 2026 release:
“I also wanted to pursue various activities after being discharged, but there were circumstances I couldn’t talk about. I don’t have the right to explain everything, so I can’t disclose it all. “I’m truly sorry for making you wait so long. But we have our reasons, and we can’t come back easily until we can present something you’ll be satisfied with.”
The idol bears the weight of fans’ expectations after not releasing any music over the last couple of years. So, RM has thought on the possibility of disbandment, a thought that has gone through his mind frequently:
“I’ve wondered thousands of times, would it be better for the team to disband or go on hiatus?’ But the reason we’re still together is because of the love between the members and the respect we have for our fans. I love you all. I hope you really know that. Even if that love doesn’t come back to me in the same way, I’ll keep loving you in my own way.”
