NewJeans has reached another major Spotify milestone as “Hurt” passed 300 million streams on the platform. ADOR took to social media to announce the milestone on August 14, 2026, after the track reached the mark on August 12, 2026. “Hurt,” which was included on the girl group’s self-titled debut EP, is now the tenth NewJeans song to surpass 300 million Spotify plays. This shows the group’s long-standing popularity despite legal battles and a two-year pause due to contract disputes.

The streaming milestone came shortly after “How Sweet” also passed 300 million streams in late July 2026. The timing of this announcement has attracted extra attention because fans and the music industry are watching closely for signs of a possible NewJeans comeback. The group’s recent activities have been limited to new photos and videos. Most recently, ADOR celebrated the girl band’s 4th anniversary of debut with new videos and photo sets, shared on July 21, 2026, as part of the “Summer of NewJeans.” However, ADOR has not confirmed any plans regarding music or new promotions.

Despite that, Haerin became the first member to make a notable individual appearance after the quartet’s return. She is featured on the cover of Marie Claire Korea’s September 2026 issue, marking her first solo in over two years. ADOR said the magazine photoshoot should not be seen as confirmation of a NewJeans comeback and described it as separate from the group’s music schedule.
