Maryland Governor Wes Moore welcomed BTS on August 10, 2026, before the group’s first of two concerts at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Moore appeared in a video set to BTS’s 2021 hit Butter and walked out smiling with corded earbuds. His message encouraged ARMY to make noise for Jungkook, V, Jimin, Suga, RM, Jin, and J-Hope as the group arrived in Maryland for their shows.

“Seven guys with one mission — bringing the world together and transcending cultural, geographical and language barriers,” the politician said. “Welcome to Baltimore, y’all!” adding “and to every member of the BTS ARMY: Let’s make some noise!”
BTS are currently touring the world in support of their tenth studio album, ARIRANG, which served as their long-awaited comeback following their military service and solo projects. Before Baltimore, the seven-member team performed two concerts at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. After the Baltimore show on August 11, 2026, BTS will then travel to Arlington, Texas, for concerts on August 15 and August 16. The schedule includes Toronto on August 22 and August 23, Chicago on August 27 and August 28, and four shows at SoFi Stadium in California in September.

Meanwhile, BTS has generated conversation and debate after announcing that they will not submit their latest music for consideration at the 69th Grammy Awards. All seven members shared an identical statement on Instagram Stories, saying they hope music can be heard without being divided by language or region. The “Fake Love” hitmakers chose to skip the awards ceremony following the creation of the Best Asian Pop Music Performance, which has been widely criticized on social media. HYBE clarified that the decision was not a company-wide boycott and that BTS did not ask other artists to follow their approach.
