This rare move for Netflix has hit the nail on the head, as the movie has surpassed the New Line and Warner Bros’ horror film “Weapons,” with an estimated $18 million over “Weapons” $15.6 million in its third weekend.
The iconic animated film drew an impressive 1.5 million admissions across Saturday and Sunday. Just on Saturday, August 23, “Kpop Demon Hunters” outperformed “Weapons,” earning only $6.4 million compared to the animated feature’s stronger numbers.
