The social media update marked one of the few public posts Manon has made since stepping away from KATSEYE in February 2026. At the time, HYBE announced that she would take a temporary hiatus to focus on her “health and well-being.” Since then, the 24-year-old had remained mostly inactive online, sparking questions among KATSEYE fans. However, her latest birthday posts appear to reassure them that she is in a positive place, but she did not mention when or if she plans to return to the girl group.
The birthday message and the pictures came one day after KATSEYE members discussed Manon’s absence in an interview with Allure. Sophia explained that the group wants to give Manon all the time and space she needs without pressuring her for a return. Fans have continued to support Manon throughout her hiatus, although she has missed several group milestones, including KATSEYE’s Coachella performance and the release of their “Wild” EP.
