During her recent public event, Kate Middleton revealed the only reason she allows her children to stay up late on school days, demonstrating she only wants her kids’ happiness and wellness.

On May 8th, the Prince and Princess of Wales hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace where, while talking with their guests, they revealed that they had been up late the night before watching Aston Villa clinch a win that put them in the final of the Europa League.

While Prince William was supporting the team personally at the stadium, his wife Kate Middleton and kids were watching the game from home; the young royals wanted to accompany their father to the match, but they were amid school days.

However, the princess found another way for them to enjoy the game and revealed that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were allowed to stay up late: “They wanted to go to the match, but we let them stay up and watch it.”

According to Kate, the kids inherit the loud enthusiasm of their father when he watches Aston Villa games on TV: “They all make so much noise, even Louis,” she said, and William admitted that the late-night sports outing left him with “bags under the eyes.”
