IU has demonstrated once again her generosity with the communities that are in the most need with a special donation. The idol is celebrating her birthday on May 16, and the best gift she could receive is closing social and structural gaps in the South Korean communities.

On May 16, IU’s music agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced that IU donated the name IUAENA, a combination of her name and her official club, UAENA. The idol donated $200.000, distributed in $66,761 to Asan Medical Center, $33,380 each was delivered to organizations including Walking With Us, Milk Delivery to Check on the Elderly, the Korean Unwed Mothers Families Association, and Walk Together.

These donations will be used to support patients facing financial difficulties, provide educational and cultural opportunities for children and teenagers. In addition, the donations will also help individuals living alone, support vulnerable single-mother households, and provide advanced assistive devices for people with disabilities.

This is not the first time that IU has donated under the IUAENA name. The idol has donated on several occasions, such as her birthday, debut anniversary, and year-end holidays, continuing to spread positive influence through acts of kindness. What a sweet gesture from IU.
