Recent reports announced IU postpones her comeback plans due to health issues, explained by the idol through a personal letter, moving their fans worldwide.
On July 20th, the agency behind the Korean singer, EDAM Entertainment, reported to the media that due to a poor health condition, their artist’s schedule suffered some changes, like the postponement of his concert in Goyang and the delay of his next album.
“After careful consideration, the company and IU recently determined that her current ear condition would make it difficult for her to proceed with scheduled performances. With her health as our highest priority, we have decided to adjust her upcoming concert schedule, including the concert at Goyang Stadium originally scheduled for this September, as well as the release schedule for her sixth full-length album.”

The agency also stated that IU’s symptoms are not “severe enough”, and this decision was made in order to return to the stage in the best condition possible to bring fans a high-quality performance, and they conclude by assuring the new dates for her concert and album release “will be announced through official statements at a later date.”
Hours later, the artist shared a heartfelt letter through her fan platform, Berriz, sharing more details of her symptoms and her chronic patulous Eustachian tube dysfunction:
“My ear symptoms have always been erratic, fluctuating between good and bad, but recently, they have persisted day and night for days at a time, and I have repeatedly found it difficult to regain my form while singing.”

She concludes her message apologising to fans for this change and expressing her love and gratitude for them and their support, declaring, “I’m truly sorry, and I love you so much.”
