IU is preparing to collaborate once again with actor Heo Nam-jun for the music video to her upcoming single. On July 12, 2026, her agency, Edam Entertainment, confirmed that the duo will reunite after working together on the music video for the remake of the song Never Ending Story, released in 2025. At the time, Heo Nam-jun was still breaking through the acting industry, but he has since gained wider recognition through his role in the television drama Wicked World, which ended in June 2026. The actor also made a brief appearance in IU’s romantic comedy K-Drama series Perfect Crown, where the two shared scenes during an arranged date.
According to local reports published on July 11, 2026, filming for the new music video is expected to begin early in August. Later that day, Heo Nam-jun’s agency, H Solid, confirmed that he would participate in the project, marking yet another moment for both artists’ reunion. The single and music video are expected to be released in the next two months, in September, kicking off the promotions for IU’s upcoming musical project.
The South Korean star will also release a new album in September 2026, accompanied by the aforementioned single. After that, she will begin a series of concerts in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, as per her own statements on April 4, 2026, installment of Pinggyego. This will mark her return to the stage with new material and live performances, after focusing mostly on her acting career.
