When it was announced that Taylor Swift would be performing in Brazil, people couldn’t hide their excitement, but a horrible tragedy happened that no one could have imagined.
Brazil is currently going through an impressive heat wave, which claimed the life of a 23 year old woman, causing her to go into cardiac arrest and die while waiting to see her favorite artist live.

According to the Brazilian daily Folha de S. Paulo, Swift had a meeting with the family before to the performance in Brazil. They claimed to have taken a picture of Machado’s family with Swift on Instagram and that they witnessed the performance from one of the floor-level VIP tents. Every member of Benevides’ family is donning a shirt with her face.
Recall that when the disaster happened and the fire department confirmed the misfortune, the singer posted on her social networks:
“I can’t believe I’m writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,” Swift said in an Instagram story message several hours after the show. “I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this.”
The accident will hopefully not go unpunished and the production company will comply with what is asked of them with the intention of justice. Undoubtedly what happened was a disgrace and it is hoped that it will never happen again.
