Superhero movies have been going through a very complex moment when it comes to their future, since the films have not reached the necessary box office to excel as they always did, and it seems that they are going through some kind of crisis, since the decisions made by the big studios have not borne the fruits they would like.
Due to the bad times that the company that creates DC movies has had, it has decided to restructure, and this means moving characters that were already very loved by the public, so now, heroes that we already knew, may now have new actors giving them life, but, despite all the changes, there are still some actors who have kept their characters.
DCEU actors who will be returning in upcoming DC films.
James Gunn is really enjoying the reboot of this universe and has confirmed that at least three of the characters who had a major role in previous movies will continue to play their roles as those characters, assuring that this is beneficial to the plot. John Cena, Viola Davis and Xolo Maridueña are the actors who have played Peacemaker, Amanda Waller and Blue Beetle.
“If you think of something as investing time and effort, regardless of the shared universe, you definitely shouldn’t do it! Each story should be enjoyed and worth participating in itself, without its attachment to an outside world. If it seems too complicated to you, screw it. Shared universes should add to the fun of individual stories, not the other way around. The individual stories and characters are far more important to me than the connections between them.” New director James Gunn commented.
