PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) accused BTS via social media of contributing to animal cruelty due to their promotions for McDonald’s. The BTS x McDonald’s collaboration meal officially launched on May 26, and the international fast food chain also released a commercial with the Big Hit Music group.

Soon after, PETA Asia began accusing BTS of promoting cruelty to animals.

The animal rights organization posted a picture on their Instagram account in which they said: “The association with McDonald’s on BTS’s food shows that BTS doesn’t care about chickens that suffer and cut their throats by McNuggets. Promote love, not cruelty!“.

BTS @bts_bighit @BTS_twt, don’t let your fans down. Stop promoting dead chickens! 😔

The #BTSMeal at McDonald’s includes chicken nuggets that are made from the flesh of tortured birds.

Chickens are not nuggets, but rather living, feeling beings. 💛 https://t.co/CiOKHChZCc #BTS pic.twitter.com/yPLTq5ASeP

The organization also shared on their Twitter an image of a fan holding a sign that reads: “This fan was disappointed. BTS, stop promoting dead chickens!

” However, other BTS fans are also citing PETA’s supposedly questionable treatment of animals. What do you think of the PETA post?
