The movie has been not only a phenomenon in the United States, but also Japan has received it in an incredible way. The film is already Universal Studios’ biggest release ever in Japan and also ranks as the sixth highest grossing Hollywood film in Japan.
The movie not only competed against a phenomenon like Barbie, a movie it has fought shoulder to shoulder with, but it has even surpassed in earnings “Top Gun: Maverick”, which is now in seventh place as the highest grossing Hollywood movie in Japan.
