Nobody had much hope in the new movie of this great production house but it has been a great surprise for everyone since it seems that the twist of this movie is very different from what was expected and there are even critics who say that the trailer does not do justice to the quality of the film.
Some experts in the film world have stated that, with the great acceptance that Blue Beetle had in its preview, it can be projected to generate between 25 and 35 million dollars in its first weekend at the box office, this being a very high figure and a good start for the superhero movie, since not even Barbie could reach these figures.
This movie apparently could be the salvation of DC, going through a bad moment at the box office and even worse with all the scandals of the strikes that the actors are living in Hollywood.
Blue Beetle is the third DC movie released so far in 2023, and so far it has already surpassed its predecessors like “Shazam 2” and “The Flash”. This new installment is directed by director Angel Manuel Soto, who chose for the first time a Latino actor to play a superhero role, and this may have been the key for this film to be welcomed in its first two days on the big screen.
