Sad news worries fans of The Last of Us.

Recently a new series arrived that shocked everyone because it was about a pandemic and with a very apocalyptic future. It was the series that arrived thanks to Hbo called The Last of Us that quickly caused a great impact on the platform users who quickly recommended it. Unfortunately, sad news have arrived that would worry the followers of this program.

The last of us

A few months ago it was announced that the second season of The Last Of Us would arrive at the hands of Hbo although it was not assured on what date it would be, and now the future would be much more uncertain as it has been announced which main actors of the series would be joining the Hollywood actors’ strike causing the production of the series to be paused.

Recently, news came out that the casting announcement for the character of Abby, has been postponed indefinitely, due to the current actor and writer’s strike in Hollywood. Craig Mazin, revealed that the casting of Abby for the second installment of the series, was underway, but due to various inconveniences with the strikes, this has had to be terminated prematurely and without any result.

The co-creator of ‘The Last Of Us’, revealed some details about the future of the hit series, last Wednesday, through an interview with ‘The Hollywood Reporter‘, where he was asked if they had already found the actress who would give life to Abby, a key character for the development of the video game, and of course the second installment of the series.

The last of us

“Maybe,” he replied with a chuckle, then the reporter noticed that Mazin was getting a little flushed, which implied that a decision had already been made, and so it was, “The strike made us stop dead in our tracks. Things were in the pipeline and Abby was the first role we wanted to tackle. We had a pretty good track record of making major casting announcements and having people say “Really?”, which will probably continue,” the co-creator added, implying that the process could not be concluded and would have to be postponed due to the strikes.
