South Korean singer Min Yoongi, better known as Suga of BTS, announced that he would be the new ambassador of the renowned NBA (National Basketball Assosiation), adding this to all the commitments that highlight him as a good artist.

Recently, rapper Suga reported that he would release his new album, D-Day, on April 21, 2023, all this before his tour around the world, and Disney+ will apparently release a documentary about the singer, called SUGA: Road to D-Day.

Suga, being a superstar has a very hectic life, being one of the representatives of KPOP worldwide, the South Korean was appointed ambassador of Valentino in early 2023 to be a fashion icon, and today he has become an ambassador of the NBA to expand the popularity of the basketball league to Asian countries.

NBA Commissioner and COO Mark Tatum said, “We are thrilled to work with Suga, a superstar musician, fashion icon and NBA lover. We look forward to working with Suga to deliver the same excitement he generates in his global fan base in support of our ongoing efforts to grow our brand.”

According to the NBA, the rapper will participate in some of the NBA’s social media initiatives, attend some games and events within the league. The singer was seen attending the NBA Japan 2022 preseason games where Golden State Warriors versus Washington Wizards played.

Back then, he sat courtside, posting photos on his social media with the players, talking and chatting with them. This year, the 30-year-old Idol, attended the game between the Los Angeles Lakers versus Dallas Mavericks, where he looked very happy and took pictures with all the superstars.

On the other hand, the South Korean singer said that it was always his dream to work with the NBA and be a part of it, he expressed that the title of ambassador is a dream come true for him, because he wanted to be a professional player when he was a kid.
