King Charles III’s former royal butler, Paul Burrell, has revealed in an interview some details regarding his relationship with the King and even shared a couple of secrets that might affect the public image of the United Kingdom’s most important family.
Burrell described Charle’s outrageous list of daily demands which include having his valets squeeze one inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush every morning, his shoelaces pressed flat with an iron to make a perfect tie, the bath plug has to be in a certain position, and the water temperature has to be just tepid. However, this is far from being the most shocking detail.
According to the ex-butler, the tension between the monarch and him started when he told Princess Diana that she was being cheated on with Camilla Parker. This caused an argument in which King Chales III showed aggressive behavior and threw a book at him while he repeatedly asked him to lie for him. Burrell expressed that he thought back then that he could not believe that he was the man that some day would become the king.
Buckingham Palace has not released any official statement regarding the shocking declarations. However, it is being reported that it is alarming for the monarch that someone as unimportant as a butler could potentially damage the perception the public has about them.
