MONSTA X member IM has officially ended his exclusive contract with Starship Entertainment. The decision was confirmed this Monday 8th through an official statement from the agency, which thanked all the work done by the artist since the group debuted in 2015.
In a statement, Starship Entertainment said:
“As the six members still have unchanging affection for MONSTA X and MONBEBE, we have come to a mutual agreement for IM to continue group activities together in the future“.
“We have talked a lot with IM, but unfortunately our exclusive contract with him will come to an end. We want to thank you for his hard work, effort, and dedication over the years.
Let’s look forward to his future activities and his new career“.

Furthermore, the agency highlighted that MONSTA X remains united and that all the members are preparing for group and individual activities. Finally, they thanked all the fans for their support:
“Once again, we express our deep gratitude to MONBEBE around the world, who continuously show love and support for MONSTA X”.
We know that IM remains in MONSTA X despite the breakup with Starship Entertainment, but in 2019 another member made a splash.
Wonho, who was the leader of the group, announced his departure in October of that year after having his name involved in a series of controversies. Since then, he has pursued a solo career.
