On July 18th, Kim Woo Bin gave an interview to Korean media to promote his new movie “Alienoid“. During the interview, the actor was asked about his current health status as 2022 marks his comeback after about five years since his diagnosis of nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017.
“Last Tuesday was my fifth anniversary since I completed treatment. So I went for a checkup“, Kim Woo Bin said.
“The doctor confirmed that everything was fine and that I am in better condition than before“.

Kim Woo Bin also said that he believes the long break was not a waste of time in his career, but a turning point that changed his outlook on life. He said:
“In the past, I used to look forward to the future. I always struggled to do better, to strive harder to become a better person.
I tortured myself for my future“.
“During the break, I found it very sad to be too strict with myself. Finally, I learned to congratulate myself and appreciate the things I have now“.
