SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi is the talk of the town after the idol has concerned the whole online community with a short but substantial statement about his current health status. The idol is serving in the military, and the bad news didn’t make them wait.

On September 12 KST, Hoshi took over his official social media accounts, including his fan communication platform, to address the latest events regarding his health status and military enlistment:

Hoshi will be unable to participate in the Taekwondo demonstration

“I’m cautiously writing this as it might be somewhat shocking news. I injured my knee while rehearsing with the Ground Forces performance team, and after getting it checked, I was diagnosed with a complete anterior cruciate ligament tear.”

Hoshi must rest until surgery is performed for his injury. As a result, Hoshi will be unable to participate in the scheduled Taekwondo Demonstration Team event and the Ground Forces Festival.

“I was really looking forward to these performances and prepared hard for them, so I’m deeply disappointed that I won’t be able to join, and I feel very sorry for the fans who have been waiting for me. Even though I can’t be there, please send lots of support to the Taekwondo Demonstration Team and the Ground Forces performance team, which includes Jihoon (WOOZI).”
