A few hours ago, SEVENTEEN‘s Vernon marked his enlistment day with the release of a new single, ‘I’ll Be Back,’ as a farewell gesture for fans during his pause of musical activities.
On August 20th, the K-Pop idol entered the training center to start his service as a social service worker in the Korean army, which will begin with him undergoing basic military training before his official duties. His discharge date is set for May 19, 2028.

During his enlistment day, the K-Pop idol surprised fans by officially releasing his song ‘I’ll Be Back’ at 6 p.m. This is a pop electronic track previously performed during the ‘2026 VERNON THE 8 ‘V8′ LIVE’ concert in 2024.
The SEVENTEEN member participated in the writing and composing of this new track, where he expressed his feelings towards fans through meaningful lyrics, which came at the perfect time in his career when fans are going to miss him.
