During a recent interaction with fans, BTS‘ V reveals for the first time he is dealing with severe hearing loss, and shocking details are sparking concern among fans worldwide.
On August 11th, the K-Pop idol went live through Weverse alongside his member Jungkook to talk with fans amid their ‘ARIRANG‘ World Tour, where they talk about their recent show in Baltimore, gym stalkers and more.
During this conversation, V confessed to dealing with hearing issues in secret: “I had never told ARMY about it before, but I think I’ve been dealing with this for about two and a half years. My hearing started to get worse.”
Although he revealed he has gone to the hospital for medical treatment, his current condition is not good. “Maybe after a month… For example, if on this side I can hear at 100%, on this side I can only hear around 30%.”

When Jungkook asked him to take care of himself, V said he has been taking his medications consistently and revealed that it gets worse during his military, where he started thinking that it was a mental issue but without stopping medical advice.
“Actually, when it got worse during my military service, everyone there was really focused on working out, so they would say things like: ‘It all depends on mental strength.’ In the end, I ended up convincing myself that it was a matter of mental fortitude…”
“But I’ve been going to the hospital regularly.”
