NMIXX member Lily has spent years becoming the type of artist she once admired as a fan! In an interview on July 31, 2026, with Teen Vogue, the singer and songwriter discussed her creative process, her relationship with fans, and the music, books, and movies that she loves the most. Lily described songwriting as something similar to keeping a journal and said she sees fandom as a relationship that should be based on respect between artists and supporters.

One of the highlights in the interview was Lily’s take on some of her favorite writers and musicians. Her favorite author is Taylor Jenkins Reid, while Taylor Swift is one of her biggest musical references. The NMIXX member then talked about how difficult it was for her to choose her favorite Taylor album, as her taste regularly changes. After ranking Taylor’s projects online, she selected “1989” and “Speak Now” as her favorites but also praised “Speak Now” and “Reputation.”
“And as I expected, 1989 and Speak Now were top marks. But I can’t…” She said. “I don’t know. It’s just too hard.” “I’d probably have to say Speak Now.” “But I really, really love Reputation too.”
Lily’s most listened-to music as of July 2026 shows that her interests go beyond one artist. The KPop star said she has been listening closely to Noah Kahan’s latest album while also returning to Phoebe Bridgers’ music and following Slayyyter’s breakthrough album. Even after being an idol herself, Lily remains excited about discovering and supporting other artists. But most of all she continues to be a big music fan.
