SEVENTEEN’s Vernon and The8 joined forces to release a special musical project under the name of V8. The self-titled album became a major release among the Kpop idols for the amazing collaboration between two music masterminds that created something unique.

On July 6 KST, the Hanteo Charts reported that V8’s newest musical project wrapped up its first-week sales with an impressive total of 622,000 copies. The milestone makes them the third-best-selling unit album in SEVENTEEN’s history, trailing only CxM (S.Coups x Mingyu)’s “HYPE VIBES” and JxW (Jeonghan x Wonwoo)’s “THIS MAN.”

The duo made their official debut on June 29 with a special eight-track mini album, featuring the songs “Friend,” “BEAT,” “singasong,” “mia (Vernon solo),” “coloring,” “girlsnboys,” “8DM (THE8 solo),” and “rat race.” Ultimately, V8 created a universe of wandering, chaos, resilience, and growth. Congratulations to the idols who are scheduled to kick off a live concert series in Korea on July 11 and 12.
