A few hours ago, TREASURE‘s Junkyu updated social networks with a heartfelt message after announcing a temporary break, moving fans with his sincerity by putting his health first.
On June 29th, YG Entertainment made a shocking notice announcing that K-Pop is going on a pause to focus on his health after concluding the promotions of the boy group’s recent release ‘NEW WAV’.
Hours later, Junkyu addressed his fans in a handwritten letter shared through his Weverse account, where he expressed his doubts about sharing his feelings and talking from his heart about his upcoming pause after years of working without rest.
He talks about his journey, which started six years ago in 2020: “During that time, I’ve received so much love, and every moment has felt like a miracle,” and continues opening up about how he has forgotten about taking care of himself.
“But as I kept moving forward and doing my best, I think there came a point where I gradually overlooked the signals my mind and body were giving me. I always wanted to show you only my best as a professional, so I’ve been trying to convince myself that I was okay. However, I’ve come to realize that now is the time for me to pause and take care of myself.”
The TREASURE member said that after many conversations with the agency, “I’ve decided to temporarily suspend my activities and take some time to rest” and concluded by apologising to his fans for the sudden news, wishing them good wishes for the future and gratitude.
“Still, I believe this pause is necessary so that I can return as a healthier and stronger version of myself. I’ll take this time to rest well, organize my thoughts, and come back as my true self.
