BTS’ Jungkook achieves three billion Spotify streams with “Seven”

BTS’ Jungkook has reached another major career milestone with his solo hit “Seven,” which features rapper Latto. The track recently surpassed 3 billion streams on Spotify, which makes him the first Asian artist to accomplish the feat on the platform. Since its initial release on July 14, 2023, “Seven” has continued to make listeners around the world press replay. This has turned it into s one of the most successful songs released by a KPop solo artist.

The song has also maintained a strong presence on Spotify’s charts. It currently ranks among the platform’s most-streamed tracks and has spent 153 weeks on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart. That run is the longest ever recorded for a solo single by an Asian singer. In addition, the long-lasting sucess of “Seven” demonstrates its popularity years after its release.

“Seven” also achieved sucess in the United States and internationally. The single debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and remained on the chart for 15 weeks. Additionally, it topped both the Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts for seven consecutive weeks. Along the way, Jungkook earned four Guinness World Records, including the record for the most Spotify streams in one week by a male artist, with 89,748,171 streams.
