The BTS leader, RM, has added another achievement to his career by becoming the first Global Public Relations Ambassador of the National Museum of Korea. The appointment reflects his long-standing commitment to art, museums, and Korean cultural heritage. The museum announced the partnership as the beginning of a new chapter, preparing to introduce Korea’s history and artistic traditions to international audiences through one of the country’s biggest international superstars.

“RM, who has shown sincere interest and affection for our cultural heritage and Korean culture, will now work with us as a global ambassador to share the value and beauty of Korean cultural heritage with audiences around the world,” the museum revealed.

On June 19, the “Come Back To Me” songwriter visited the National Museum of Korea alongside director You Hong June to celebrate the appointment. During the visit, he toured several exhibitions, including the upcoming Amazing Thailand: Masterpieces of Thai Art exhibition and the seasonal exhibition Kim Hongdo: Painting His Era. RM has been open about his appreciation for museums and traditional Korean art, making this new appointment a natural role in his artistic vision beyond music. As an ambassador for the museum, the BTS rapper will help promote Korean cultural heritage to people around the world and encourage appreciation for the country’s artistic legacy. This is not the only artistic project the South Korean star has been involved with. For example, in October 2026, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will launch RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me, an exhibition that runs through February 2027 and features around 200 artworks from the museum, including pieces from RM’s personal collection. This will give visitors and fans a chance to explore the artistic inspirations that have influenced the BTS leader.
