Tindall, who is married to Zara Tindall, said the mother of three still enjoys playing “Prosecco pong” with family members during gatherings. He revealed that sport and competition are a major part of the royal family’s dynamic, recalling Kate’s competitive personality during a 2023 episode of his podcast, “The Good, The Bad & The Rugby,” which featured Prince William, Princess Kate, and Princess Anne.

“I knew that the Princess of Wales was uber competitive because I’d seen her play a drinking game called beer pong, but normally we play Prosecco pong! She still plays it with us,” he said.
The Princess of Wales became more careful about alcohol after her diagnosis
Although Princess Kate Middleton is still present in family activities, she recently revealed that she has become more careful about alcohol consumption following her cancer diagnosis in 2024. During a visit to the Southwark Brewing Company in London with Prince William in March 2026, the Princess of Wales briefly talked about the lifestyle change while the couple tried pulling pints. Royal editor Matt Wilkinson shared on X that the Princess explained she had not been drinking much since her diagnosis because she now pays closer attention to her health. She also joked with Prince William about his preference for cider.
“Since my diagnosis, I haven’t had much alcohol. It’s something I have to be a lot more conscious of now,” The Sun’s Matt Wilkinson wrote on X.
The Princess of Wales continues her recovery after cancer treatment
Princess Kate Middleton first announced in March 2024 that doctors had discovered cancer following abdominal surgery in January 2024. After sharing the news publicly, she stepped back from the royal spotlight to focus on treatment and recovery. In January 2025, the mother of three confirmed with relief that she was officially in remission. Since then, she has gradually returned to her royal commitments while continuing to balance her health and family responsibilities.
