Despite her royal status, Kate Middleton has revealed that she enjoys moments of normalcy, including her favorite drinking game she used to play with the royal family.
The princess of Wales is well known for her love for sports and games, as well as her competitive personality, something that was revealed by Mike Tindall, Princess Anne’s son-in-law, during a recent interview with Woman & Home.
“Sport is rife throughout the [royal] family—everyone is competitive. We did a podcast [with William, Catherine, and Princess Anne] on how much they love sport.”
The former rugby player continued confirming Kate Middleton’s competitive personality and revealing that the royal family used to play together a particular drinking game to which she gave her touch of distinction.
“I knew that the Princess of Wales was uber competitive because I’d seen her play a drinking game called beer pong, but normally we play Prosecco pong! She still plays it with us.”
He concluded, saying, “Sport is rife throughout the family—everyone is competitive,” referring to the royal family.
Previously, the princess revealed that this competitiveness has also interfered in her relationship with Prince William to the point that it is difficult playing sports together: “I don’t think we’ve actually been able to finish a game of tennis. It becomes a mental challenge between the two of us.”
