After a recent live stream, LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin faces backlash for opening up about her fear of singing, generating mixed comments on social networks about how an artist should feel.
On April 29th, the K-Pop idol went live to interact with fans, talk about the group comeback with the song ‘CELEBRATION,’ its meaning and message, the MV reaction, and many other things going through her head.
A clip from this day went recently viral for Yunjin speaking up about her fears, revealing, “I still struggle with my fears of sometimes being on stage or, you know, of singing,” talking with honesty about how this album helped her to vent those feelings.

However, on social networks netizens react with criticism for having a fear of singing and becoming an idol and even questioning her decisions, judging her open talk and accusing the group of manipulation.
“literally no other kpop idol fears singing except them like why even debut,” “this group is such a set up holy shit,” “the way this group actually does the emotional manipulation their fans love to project onto other groups,” “Crazy take but if you are scared to sing, maybe being an idol isn’t the right job for you,” “the fact that shes damn serious too girl get off twt and go to singing lessons tf thats ur job.”
Fans defend the artist from these comments, recalling that idols are human too: “do y’all just want idols to be robots who show no emotion,” “yall think doctors have no fears when going into the surgery room? architects do not feel scared about projecting a building? fear is an essential part of existing as a human being but yall cant view idols as even that,” “damn idols cant even display human emotion and personal struggles anymore. this shit is too serious for y’all.”
