IU has confirmed that she plans to release a new album in 2026. The “Love Wins All” singer shared the update during the April 4, 2026, episode of Pinggyego, where she appeared with actor and co-star Byeon Woo Seok. Together, the pair brings to life the upcoming K-drama Perfect Crown. During the conversation, MC Yoo Jae Suk asked her about her plans for the year, and IU gave a clear answer that sparked excitment among fans who have been waiting for new music.
IU explained that her drama will air soon and that she plans to release an album and have a concert. The program also included captions saying that her solo concert is scheduled for September 2026. Then, when the host asked more about the album release, IU said it would likely come when the season changes from summer to autumn. Her comment suggested a possible release window scheduled for late August 2026, just before her concert takes place in September.
