BTS reached more than 3 million pre-saves for their fifth full-length album “ARIRANG” on Spotify on February 4, 2026. The project passed 1 million pre-saves within two days after the campaign started, and exceeded 2 million by the fourth day. Industry observers are closely watching whether the album will approach the platform’s highest pre-save record, currently held by Taylor Swift with approximately 6 million pre-saves for her 12th studio album “The Life of a Showgirl.”

‘ARIRANG’ by BTS has now surpassed 3 million pre-saves on Spotify's Countdown Albums Chart.

The album also ranked first for two consecutive weeks on Spotify’s Countdown Charts Global on January 21, 2026, and January 28, 2026. This measures pre-save activity for upcoming releases and is widely used to estimate global fan anticipation regarding future projects. As of now, BTS’ closest competitors are Bruno Mars’ “The Romantic” and Harry Styles’ “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.” At the same time, fan engagement increased on Weverse, where new fan memberships reportedly tripled after the album and tour announcements.

Interest in previous BTS releases has also shown increased popularity. In December 2025, several tracks received new streaming certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Meanwhile, “ARIRANG” will be released worldwide on March 20, 2026, with 14 tracks focused on identity, longing, love, and a hint of Korean culture. A comeback event will follow in Seoul on March 21, 2026, at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, marking the first time an artist will perform in this place. The event will be live-streamed in over 190 countries and regions via Netflix.
