BLACKPINK’s Rosé makes history at the MTV VMAs

After BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars joined forces to create a whole jam, “APT,” the world was never the same. The song became a notorious hit globally, particularly in the United States and South Korea. Finally, all of the idols’ efforts have paid off at the MTV VMAs ceremony.

On September 7, Rosé took home “Song of the Year” for her hit collaboration “APT.” with Bruno Mars.” This marvelous award makes Rosé the first-ever K-pop artist to win a major VMA category. Appearing on stage in a lovely gold gown, Rosé gave her acceptance speech:

In addition, BLACKPINK’s Rosé was also nominated in a record-breaking eight categories this year, including Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, and Best Direction. What a year for Rosé! Congratulations.
