On August 31, Crunchyroll released the first teaser during a live-streamed fifth anniversary for the Crunchyroll Anime Award-winning series. The almost 2-minute trailer showcases protagonist Yuji Itadori grappling with conflict and despair after believing he killed numerous people during the “Shibuya incident.” In addition, the trailer showcases the intense combat between Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu, the main character from the prequel film.
MAPPA returns as the animation studio, bringing joy to all the fans who praise the studio’s amazing animation skills. The series has earned Anime of the Year honors at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in both 2021 and 2024, showcasing its quality throughout the years.
