Jo Yuri’s transition from former IZ*ONE member to Netflix actor is real! On July 12, the Squid Game star appeared on the variety show Point of Omniscient Interfere to talk about her successful acting career. Best known for her role as Kim Jun Hee in Seasons 2 and 3, Yuri revealed how life changed after joining Netflix’s mega-hit. One of the biggest shifts? Her Instagram followers skyrocketed from 1.6 million to over 7.6 million.

She said fans now leave messages in multiple languages, and the global attention has been both exciting and overwhelming. While the fame is huge, what really had everyone buzzing was the rumor that Yuri was paid 4.2 billion KRW for Squid Game (that’s over 3 million dollars). Her response? A big laugh. “That’s ridiculous,” she said, explaining the real amount was way lower, but she still didn’t reveal an exact number.

The conversation also turned personal when she revealed that her mom has access to her bank account. Yes, full access! When asked if she gives her mom an allowance, she said, “I gave her the password.” Yuri added that her mom rarely uses the money. Most recently, the artist dropped the teaser to her upcoming single “Farewell for now!” from her 3rd mini album “Episode 25.” This project is scheduled to be released on July 14, 2025.
