The nine-time Grammy winner will now be part of an impressive performance lineup that also includes Dua Lipa, Burna Boy, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott, U2, Luke Combs and Billy Joel, the Recording Academy said in a press release Sunday.Mitchell’s 2023 live CD, “Joni Mitchell at Newport,” has earned her a nomination in the Best Folk CD category. According to the Recording Academy, the CD captures her unexpected return to the stage at the 2022 Newport Folk Festival in Newport, Rhode Island, after a 20-year hiatus.
Joni Mitchell will perform for the first time at the 2024 Grammy Awards, which will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4.
