Noah Schnapp retracts his views on Israel and Palestine fearing being fired from 'Stranger Things'

In the middle of the start of the filming of the last season of Stranger Things, the actor who plays Will Byers said that he has reflected on the matter, and that after talking at length with his Palestinian friends he realized that he only wants peace to return to the region and a ceasefire that has claimed the lives of thousands of innocent people.

Through a video shared on TikTok, Noah tried to clarify that, what he really wants is peace, security and safety for all the innocent people affected by the conflict. The actor added that he hopes for more understanding and compassion, regardless of race, ethnicity, origin and sexuality.

Noah’s clarifications come after millions of people began calling for a boycott of “Stranger Things” some time ago, so many netizens immediately assured that the actor retracted to avoid damaging the start of production of the fifth season of the series and being fired.

“Stranger Things” has broken Netflix records with its previous seasons, so the actor’s claims could affect ratings significantly.
