Twice is one of the most successful and iconic K-Pop girl bands internationally. But behind these nine artists are some young women who must deal with the other side of fame.

Recently, this has led to health issues for Jeongyeon, one of the members.

According to the JYP, due to panic and anxiety attacks, the artist will temporarily distance herself from her professional commitments.

The agency’s statement indicates that they value “the health” of their artists “as the most important issue.” Therefore, after deep discussions accompanied by medical measures, they have decided that it is necessary for Jeongyeon to have enough time to focus on her recovery and rest.

JYP Entertainment’s decision to remove Jeongyeon from professional activities has been applauded by a large portion of ONCE. They highlight the good gesture of giving her the time she needs to mentally recover and come back stronger than ever.

For now, her members will continue to carry out their work commitments, including the release of her first single in English, in September. Who knows? Perhaps our protagonist has completely recovered when they get to work with the promotion of the song.

We hope that Jeongyeon will recover soon and get enough rest to return with energy to the highest level.
